What services does Embrace U offer?

We provide intensive outpatient therapy programs designed to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges quickly and effectively. Depending on the needs of a participant, they can be admitted into our intensive outpatient program (IOP) or partial hospitalization program (PHP). Both programs are held during the day at our clinic.

Our programs include:

  • Family therapy
  • Psychiatric evaluations
  • Medication management
  • Support for transitions (e.g., school or life changes)

What age ranges do you work with?

We treat children as young as 10 and as old as 18. Our programs are designed to help preteens and teens develop the coping and communication skills needed to manage symptoms of a mental health challenge.

How can I schedule an appointment for my child?

You can schedule an appointment by calling our office at 615-656-8624 or completing the “contact us” form.

What’s The First Step in Seeking Mental Health Treatment?

Start with a comprehensive evaluation from a qualified mental health professional. A proper diagnosis and treatment plan is key. Embrace U offers free assessments.

How Much Does Mental Health Treatment Cost?

Costs range depending on the level of treatment a child needs. Most insurance plans cover mental health treatment. It’s best to talk with a treatment provider to determine the estimated out-of-pocket cost for mental health services.

Does my child need a referral from their pediatrician or school counselor?

No. Referrals are not required. Please contact us to learn more about your specific needs.

How soon can we expect an appointment after contacting the clinic?

Appointment availability varies, but we strive to schedule an initial assessment within one to two weeks.

Insurance and Costs

Does Embrace U accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans. Please contact us directly to verify your coverage.

What if my family doesn’t have insurance or needs financial assistance?

We offer self-pay options and can discuss sliding scale fees or other financial resources during your initial consultation.

Are there any hidden fees?

No, we will provide a clear breakdown of costs before services begin.

Treatment Approach

How does Embrace U ensure care is tailored to my child?

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your child’s unique needs, then create a personalized treatment plan that includes therapy, medication (if necessary), and parental involvement.

How do you involve parents in the treatment process?

We believe parents play a crucial role in a child’s mental health journey. Family therapy sessions and regular updates are part of our approach to ensure parents feel informed and supported. Our therapists are available to discuss treatment with parents.

What makes Embrace U different from other adolescent mental health clinics?

Our team specializes in working with adolescents and their families. We combine clinical expertise with a warm, welcoming environment that helps young people feel safe and understood.

Common Concerns

How do I know if my child needs professional help?

If your child is experiencing prolonged changes in mood, behavior, or academic performance, or if they’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or other challenges, professional help can make a significant difference.

Is my child’s treatment confidential?

Yes, we prioritize confidentiality while adhering to state laws regarding parental consent and safety.

What if my child is resistant to seeking help?

This is common. Our team is skilled at engaging with teens in a way that helps them feel comfortable and willing to participate in treatment.

How long will my child be in treatment?

The amount of time your child spends in treatment is determined by their diagnosis, the symptoms they are experiencing, their treatment goals, and how well they respond to treatment. In short, there’s not a set schedule. We can tell you that most Embrace U participants report significant symptom reduction within six weeks of starting our programs, but it’s important to understand that every child is unique and may require more or less treatment. Our clinical staff reviews treatment goals and conducts regular assessments to determine the level of symptoms a child is experiencing. We recommend that participants and their families complete the full treatment program so that they have learned the skills we teach.

How Will I Know If My Child Is Getting Better?

At Embrace U we utilize symptom assessments to track the progress of our participants. We routinely meet with parents to review treatment progress.

Aftercare and Follow-Up

What happens if my child doesn’t improve?

We regularly review treatment plans and adapt our approach if necessary. Collaboration with parents and other providers ensures we explore all options.

How do you support teens after they complete treatment?

We offer aftercare plans, check-in appointments, and referrals to additional resources to help teens transition smoothly after treatment.
