Embrace U offers a structured, short-term Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that helps children ages 10-18 work through mental health challenges while developing new coping skills. The care team at our IOP in Brentwood, Tennessee, consists of a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, licensed therapists, and registered nurses.
Our IOP mental health treatment program is specifically designed to meet the needs of adolescents and teens. We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), ACT, and RO-DBT to help our patients learn more about the causes behind their stress and anxiety. We then teach them new skills to help manage these issues better.
Our therapists work with youths, using evidence-based techniques to help them overcome their challenging behaviors. Growth comes from learning how to regulate their emotions, which allows them to make better decisions without getting overwhelmed in stressful situations.
Embrace U is an IOP designed with your child in mind. We offer therapy outside of school hours, so your child can receive comprehensive treatment without sacrificing their ability to live a normal life. We offer education and skills training for your child to help them maintain healthy habits after treatment, too, and we believe that peer support is a foundational aspect of any successful treatment plan.
IOP stands for Intensive Outpatient Program. IOPs allow an individual to receive treatment outside of a residential setting while still under the care of a team of qualified mental health professionals. Our adolescent and teen IOP approach provides your teenager with opportunities to learn how to make good decisions, improve self-esteem and self-confidence, and build a strong mental health foundation. Teens always have a safe space to discuss any issues or concerns they may have, and our trained professionals track their progress through various assessments and check-ins throughout each session. Our program is designed to allow your teen to receive treatment while coming home every night to live life as normal.
If you find that regular therapy isn’t providing the most beneficial outcome for your child, consider looking into an intensive outpatient program like embrace U instead!

Weekly individual therapy sessions with a qualified local therapist can be very beneficial. Still, some individuals need more support regarding mental health, executive functioning, and academics.
