Would your child benefit from an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

Weekly therapy sessions and family therapy consultations with a local therapist can be very beneficial. Still, some individuals need more support to regain lost ground regarding mental health, executive functioning, and academics. An expanded care team and a higher level of care will offer adolescents and their families the holistic approach they need to thrive – rather than survive.

If you can answer yes to any of the questions below, Embrace U may be the right fit for your family:

  • Does your child feel down, depressed, or hopeless?
  • Does your child find themselves unable to stop or control worrying or worry too much about different things?
  • Does your child have low self-esteem, feel they are a failure or have let themselves or your family down?
  • Does your child have a poor appetite, weight loss, overeat, or struggle with body image?
  • Does your child have trouble concentrating on things like schoolwork, reading, or watching TV?
  • Does your child have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, sleeping too much, often feeling tired, or having little energy?
  • Does your child often become easily annoyed or irritable?
  • Does your child often feel afraid as if something awful might happen?
  • Does your child often feel nervous, anxious, or on edge?
  • Does your child often have trouble relaxing?
  • Is your child withdrawn and not interested in friends or activities they once enjoyed?
  •

If you observe any of these behaviors and want to talk to someone, Embrace U can help answer questions confidentially. Adolescent outpatient treatment can address what’s happening before it worsens. These issues do not normally resolve themselves and can indicate a child’s vulnerability to mental health crises, including suicide attempts. It’s vital to address them immediately to prevent a mental health crisis from developing.
